Tall and small

Posted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 27 November 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Okay, although I uploaded this February 2nd, 2009, I made a resolution to myself to update this photoblog more often - at least a few times a week.

Even if I don't offer explanations, whether in English or Japanese. I have a year and a half left in Japan (maybe) so I should be better about this. :)

This was taken at Itsukushima Shrine, also more informally known as Miyajima. The torii gate is one of the three Beautiful Views of Japan, being that Japan has a thing about the top three things of anything (gardens, castles, onsen, etc.) Unfortunately, I was there during low tide. It's said that if you can walk through the gate, you'll have really spiffy good luck.

But, well, there was still water underneath the gate, yet people were still trying to walk underneath it..
