Grow to the castle

Posted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 9 April 2008 in Plant & Nature.

Wow.. I am so tired. There goes my dedication toward trying to update this every day.

Yesterday a friend and I decided to head to Osaka-jo Kouen (Osaka Castle Park) to check out the cherry blossoms around Osaka-jo.. .. turns out there weren't that many, until we actually started leaving the castle grounds.

But to get to Osaka Castle in the first place, we biked all the way from our home (which is closest to JR Noda) - and it took us probably two hours until we finally got there. My knees were dying.. but the path of cascading cherry blossom tree after tree was absolutely worth the bike ride.

As soon as I arrived home, I immediately fell asleep. But I've never been overwhelmed by seeing so many cherry blossoms within an hour from a bike ride. It was amazing!
