Sakura-gawa

Posted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 6 April 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Cherry blossom season is here! The biggest reason I wanted to come to Japan was most especially for hanami, the cherry blossom viewing.

In Osaka City near the JR Sakuranomiya station, there are hundreds of cherry blossom trees lined up along the river (I'm not sure which river it is). It was a nice, splendid, warm day this day, and everyone was out enjoying the cherry blossoms, picnicking, BBQing, and having fun with family and friends.

Let me tell you, cherry blossoms have this special power, I think, that helps you feel calm, relaxed, and alleviates your frustration.. at least, that's what it feels like every time I'm able to admire a tree.
