Reach for the skyPosted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 9 March 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Went to Osaka Castle for perhaps my fifth time since living here.. and instead of going up toward and into the castle, I made a left near Osaka Business Park (if I recall correctly) following the herds of people that were headed in that general direction. And a good thing I went, too, for on my left side was a rather large area full of ume (plum) blossoms already in bloom, dazzling the area with whites, reds, pinks, magentas, reds, and all sorts of vivid colors! The aroma that these flowers give off is also an incredible scent, and just being around that area gave me smiles all over. People were also sitting underneath the trees (despite areas being marked as no trespassing by ropes and poles) but that didn't stop many people from enjoying the blossoms and some great opportunities for taking photos. What a gorgeous day it was.. snippet about this photoblog This photoblog is mostly to cover my experiences and adventures on the JET Programme as an Osaka City ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) through photographs, from beginning to end.
