Light and Dark Koya-san

Posted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 2 March 2008 in Landscape & Rural.

On Koya-san (Mount Koya), about a two hour train ride including cable car ride from Osaka City, a small town where the origin of the Shingon sect of Buddhism resides. I had just walked from Okunoin, a mausoleum and the largest cemetery in Japan.

As the day was starting to end, this is what I saw as I was heading back to catch the bus back to the cable car station.
