Tenryū-ji

Posted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 29 February 2008 in Architecture.

Went to Arashiyama in Kyoto around the end of February, and also visited Tenryū-ji (Tenryuu Temple), a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

This temple is the head temple of the Tenryuu sect of Rinzai Zen Buddhism and has a beautiful garden, some beautiful and very old paintings of a dragon and tiger among other images. and.. the place is just gorgeous.
