What brought me herePosted by Luna (Osaka, Japan) on 30 August 2007 in Cityscape & Urban. This ferris wheel near Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium by Osaka Bay close to Cosmosquare Station in Osaka City.. a ferris wheel that I saw almost a decade ago (the first time I saw it was 1999), the Tempozan Harbor Village Ferris Wheel. At one time, was once the tallest ferris wheel in the world. It was this amusement park ride that was responsible for choosing my placement in Osaka City, that I had seen while traveling through KIX en route to both the Philippines and back to Minneapolis. While waiting in the plane on the runway, I saw this ferris wheel outside my window and its beautiful lights always shining in the distance, and behind it was the city of Osaka. I was entranced by it. I was amazed by it, that such a display of lights was able to be so beautiful and on something as simple like a ride. By seeing this ferris wheel over a decade ago, I was set on applying for the JET Program in Osaka City. snippet about this photoblog This photoblog is mostly to cover my experiences and adventures on the JET Programme as an Osaka City ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) through photographs, from beginning to end.
