Himeji-jo ahoy

The beautiful and gorgeous Himeji-jo, a Japanese National Cultural Treasure, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, and one of Japan's three castles (they have a list of three for many things, like three gardens, three treasure, three views of Japan, etc.)

The castle grounds themselves are full of twists and turns and is quite maze-like - but once you enter the castle itself, there's only one way, and that's to go up and see the magnificent view of Himeji from the top floor.
